Erlend Skagseth, MBA, Chairman
Erlend Skagseth is Chairman of APIM Therapeutics and Senior Partner at Sarsia Seed Management AS, one of Norway's leading venture capital firms specializing in life sciences and technology investments. He has more than 30 years of experience in technology commercialization, intellectual property, venture investments and business development.
Prior to joining Sarsia, Erlend held senior positions at Christian Michelsen Research, Forinnova and Sarsia Innovation, where he focused on the commercialization of research-based technologies and the creation of high-growth companies. Throughout his career, he has led numerous turnaround processes, negotiated international licensing and commercial agreements, and contributed to successful financing rounds and company exits.
Erlend has extensive board experience from venture-backed life science and technology companies, including Avexxin (now Coegin Pharma), Vaccibody, Geneseque and several other innovative biotechnology companies
Hans Ivar Robinson, MSc, Board Member
Hans Ivar Robinson is Founder and CEO of Birk Venture, a Norwegian life science investment company focused on building and investing in innovative biotechnology companies. He has more than 30 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry as an executive, entrepreneur, investor and board member.
Prior to founding Birk Venture, Hans Ivar held senior leadership positions at global pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Throughout his career, he has played a central role in the creation, financing and development of biotechnology companies from early research through clinical development and commercialization. He has extensive experience in business development, licensing, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs.
Hans Ivar serves or has served on the boards of numerous biotechnology companies, including as Co-founder and Board Member of Zelluna Immunotherapy and Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Nextera. He holds an MSc from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
Hans Olav Torsen, MSc, Board Member
Hans Olav Torsen is an experienced entrepreneur, investor and board executive with more than four decades of experience in technology commercialization, venture capital and corporate development. Throughout his career, he has founded and led several technology companies and has held numerous board chair and director positions across innovative industrial and technology businesses.
Mr. Torsen was the founder of Seatex and has held senior executive positions including CEO of Navia Group and Vice President of Business Development at Kongsberg Gruppen. He was also a Partner at ProVenture Management, where he focused on venture investments and the development of high-growth technology companies.
Today, he is an active investor through Torsen Tankers & Towers and continues to serve on the boards of several technology and growth companies, bringing extensive experience in corporate strategy, business development and governance to APIM Therapeutics.
